Despite a rigorous search through the UK records we cannot find a birth or baptism for William in 1826 or 1827 in Devon
He must have left Englnd between 1826 and 1841 if the 1826 data is correct. He does not show on the 1841 Census We believe the 1826 date has been mistranscribed and should read 1828 as this correlates to the Candian 1881 Census. and all the relatives are also accounted for. ThePresbyterian church marriage records must still exist in Quebec.
