By all surviving accounts this fellow was a bit of a rapscallion. He abandoned one child in England - left for Canada with his wife and therest of the family and when he got there wrongly told people he was achurch minister - truth was agricultural labourer! Synopsis: Not too pleasant a character even for the age he lived in.
